The candidates below the age of 25 years must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the training. Widows/Widowers and divorcees below 25 aren’t eligible. A candidate who marries during the training will be expelled from the service and will be liable to refund all the expenditure incurred on him by the government. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but they will not be provided married accommodation and they will not be allowed to live with their family outside the campus during the training period.
Candidates should be physically and medically fit to carry out their responsibilities and duties properly.
Candidates must ensure that they are physically fit before reporting for SSB interview in order to undergo various tests at Air Force Selection Board. The candidates must have the ability to run 1.6 km and do 10 push-ups and 3 chin-ups at the time of reporting.

The online exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force. The selection process of AFCAT Exam comprises the following stages:
AFCAT Written Exam is the only criteria for clearing first stage for the Non-Technical candidates; while AFCAT+ EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for the Technical candidates
Those who will clear the AFCAT Written Test cutoff are eligible to appear for an AFSB interview.
The selected candidates will be allowed to proceed for medical tests.
The pay scale varies from one post to another depending upon the Grade of the particular post but it generally ranges between: INR 56,100/- – 1,10,700/- (MSP INR15,500/-)
