Military Nursing Services (MNS)
The Indian Military Nursing Services is a part of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) of the Indian Army, first formed under British rule in 1888. An officer in the Military Nursing Services is granted Permanent Commission or Short Service Commission by a Govt Gazette Notification. The list of names are published in the weekly gazette of Government of India from time to time.

Educational Qualification
12th Pass/ 10+2/ Intermediate or equivalent examination pass in the first attempt as a regular student from any recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with minimum 50% Marks in aggregate.
Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying exam may also apply provisionally for admission to B.Sc Nursing course at Colleges/ Schools of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the B.Sc Nursing Course.
Age Limit
Candidate should be born between 01 October 1996 and 30 September 2004 (both days inclusive). Female candidates who are unmarried/ divorced/ legally separated/ widow without encumbrances, are eligible to apply for Military Nursing Service Recruitment.
Physical Standards
Minimum Height – 152 Cms (Candidates belonging to North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumaon
will be accepted with a minimum height of 148 Cms)
Minimum Weight – 39 Kgs
Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for commission in the Armed Forces.
Indian Army MNS Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process will consist of online computer based examination, interview and medical examination. All eligible candidates will be called for online computer based exam of maximum 150 Marks The written test will be of 90 Minutes duration. Negative marking will not be applicable in computer based exam. MNS BSc Nursing question paper will comprise of objective type questions based on General English, General Intelligence and Science (Biology, Physics & Chemistry) as per the exam pattern below:
